Default Quick question...

Do people actually pay 17k for their 848's?

I see craigslist ads where people claim to pay upwards of 17k for their bike OTD.

Alot of people incl the taxes they pay plus the first round of CF add ons. They fail to realize that the OEM parts they are removing are probably worth more than the parts the replaced. I can't even count the # of people around my area who bought the latest Ninja 250R then turned around and sold them for full cost plus their taxes and ACTUALLY got it because they sold out of those bikes so quickly each year.

Even up here in Canada I didn't pay $17,000. Our price was $15,995 plus taxes and shit. Ok so when the smoke cleared it was $19,000 but with 2 taxes plus F&PDI.

Damn nice deal, Jules. Mine (2010 848) would've been just shy of $15k out the door if i didn't go apeshit buying shift tech CF, CRG levers, etc. at time of purchase

09 $16k OTD

I think if you paid sticker price for the bike, and live in a theif state like Kommiefornia or Taxachusetts, you'd pay $17k OTD. But it shouldn't be hard to talk them down to at least $13k for the bike.

Jules got a steal!

Taxachusetts blows, no way I would pay 17K, including tax and title for an 848.

I found it hard to believe. I would never pay it... I've always bought used... even my 848!
