I would just keep the 10R bike, from what I was told by boulder motorsports in Colorado, all you need is a 1098s and for additional 25k - 30k they claim they will enhance the bike to outperform the desmo. bang for the buck, I'd stick with the R. I assume more could possibly done to your bike to enhance your's as well. Ultimately, your choice but I can't see paying that much extra for an additional 15-20 hp for a desmo.

I have never ridden anything as visceral and intoxicating as the D16. I've been fortunate enough to have driven an Enzo, Maclaren SLR, Turbo 911's, all the AMG 55's and 63's. They are all awesome high performance cars, BUT for sheer performance and technical prowess, the D16 is the Enzo of motorcycles. Hands down.......
ANYTIME I'm on the D16 and just crack the throttle..even modestly...while taching 5k or higher...the combo of the sound, speed & feel....makes everything right with the world!
