Default S2R800 temperature

Its about 82 degrees in the evening around these parts and my monster is running up to 111 degrees. Is that normal? At what temp do i need to shut off the engine? If it isnt normal, what possible problems does the bike have and how do you fix this?

I just got the bike and the previous owner hardly used it. Mileage is pretty low and was taken on 2 short out of town trips. Its a 2005 model with arrows full system.

I'm assuming that's 82C which, if my math is any good is 232F. Don't think that's a problem as the owners manual (yeah, I still have it!) indicates that the temp display will read "HI" if oil temp goes above 170C / 338F. I think it's reasonable to assume that if you see that on your display it might be a good idea to shut down and let it cool off. I live in a relatively warm climate and have never seen my S2R temp gage read over 236F (113C).
Hope that helps.

On my S2R1000 I will often see up to and over 120c when in traffic, but it is all fine. As MDO says above, it is good to about 170c before you get into strife.

Was just wondering cos on my other bike (alsoan s2r800), the temp doesnt go that high. Then again, this one has a full system which might make it run hotter. Thanks for your replies.

ive replaced 2 sensors. there were errors when it was connected to the computer and those were the culprits seen. but now that both have been changed, the temp still doesnt go down once i start running. any ideas what else i can check and what may be causing this?
